Who we are
This website is a free community directory of baby, toddler and family groups across Stockport, run alongside the Stockport Bumps, Babies and Toddlers Facebook group by Vicky and Hope. For the purposes of UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018), Stockport Bumps, Babies and Toddlers is the data controller for this website.

The short version
You don't need an account to use this site, and we don't ask you for any personal details. We don't use advertising or analytics cookies, and we don't track you across the web.
Information we process
Postcode searches. When you type a postcode to find groups near you, your browser sends that postcode directly to postcodes.io (a free, open UK postcode service) to look up its location. This happens in your browser; we don't store your postcode, and we don't link it to you.
Server logs. Like almost all websites, our hosting provider may automatically record technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, in order to operate the site securely and reliably. This is processed on the basis of our legitimate interests in keeping the site running and protecting it from abuse.
Fonts. The typeface used on this site is served from our own servers, so loading a page doesn't send a request to any third-party font provider.
Cookies
We don't set any tracking, advertising or analytics cookies. The site works without you accepting any cookies, so we don't show a cookie banner.
Group listings
The groups listed here are organised by other people and businesses. Their details (such as venue, times, phone numbers and websites) come from a community-maintained spreadsheet and are shown so families can find and contact local groups. If you run a listed group and would like your details corrected or removed, please get in touch and we'll update the directory.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have rights over your personal data, including the right to access it, to have it corrected or erased, and to object to or restrict how it's used. Because we don't hold accounts or store personal details from visitors, there's usually very little personal data for us to act on — but if you have a request or question, contact us using the details above and we'll help.

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised “last updated” date.
